Wild Days

Wild Day timings

Our wild days run from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

Where will we meet for the wild days?

We use two pick up/drop-off points so please look carefully at the location stated when you book. Select and follow your directions sheet. If in doubt please call the office before you leave home.

How early should we arrive?

10 minutes before will be fine. Please don’t arrive too early.

What if we are late or get lost?

Please contact the office on 0118 984 2333 or 0118 984 2500. It may also help to call parents of other children who are attending the Wild Day if you have their numbers.

When should we collect?

Please check the times of the Wild Day and aim to arrive 10 minutes before. Again if you are late please call the office or other parents and let them know. Our instructors will not be able to care for children after the wild day has ended.

What if it’s raining?

Wild days run rain or shine. So bring waterproofs and wellies. We will only cancel for high winds when the danger of falling limbs in the woods is high.

How about food and drink?

Drinks will be provided but please bring a packed lunch.

In case of emergency?

If there is an incident during the day whether it is linked to First Aid, behaviour or something unforeseen we will contact you using the details on the consent and booking forms.

What should my child wear on the day?

  • Warm old clothes, which you do not mind getting wet or muddy.
  • Gloves and a woolly hat in cold weather, sun hat and sun cream if hot.
  • Long trousers, no matter what the weather, to protect from brambles & nettles.
  • Waterproof jacket (and trousers if you have them.)
  • Wellington boots – fantastic for mud or long wet grassy
  • Strong shoes, boots or trainers if the weather is very dry.

Unnecessary valuables should not be brought on this activity.


Parties

Party timings

Our party sessions run from 10am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4pm

Where will we meet for the party?

Follow your directions sheet to the crescent shaped lay-by near the Nuney Green turn off. There will be a white 2Wild sign at the side of the road and your party leader will be waiting there.

How early should we arrive?

10 minutes before will be fine. Please don’t arrive too early.

What if we are late?

The 2Wild office will be closed at the weekends. The party leader will call the party child’s parents a few days before to check arrangements and any last minute details; they will also give them their mobile number. We suggest that you also have the contact number of the party child’s parents so you can notify them if you are running late.

How about food and drink?

We will provide quality butcher’s sausages in a bun and squash. You are welcome to bring a birthday cake and extra snacks. It is a few minutes walk to the party site so please make them easily transportable. If your child is vegetarian or has a special dietary need please let us know well in advance.

Bushcraft Club

Bushcraft club timings

The Bushcraft Club will run from 10am to 4pm or 10am-1pm for Juniors.

Where will we meet for the Bushcraft club?

10 minutes before will be fine. Please don’t arrive too early.

What if we are late or get lost?

Please check the times of the Bushcraft club and aim to arrive 10 minutes before. Again if you are late please call the office or other parents and let them know. Our instructors will not be able to care for children after the Bushcraft club has ended.

What if it’s raining?

The Bushcraft clubs will run rain or shine. So bring waterproofs and wellies. We will only cancel for high winds when the danger of falling tree limbs is high.

How about food and drink?

Please give your child a good lunch, snacks and drinks to have during the day. It is possible that we may cook some food during the day as part of the course but this will not replace your packed lunch.
